Website privacy
small tech is an independent software, writing, and design practice by Thomas Lavin. This notice covers visits to this website. The apps have their own privacy policies, linked from support.
Reading this site
The pages are static. The site’s own code does not use advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, cookies, or browser storage. There is no visitor account or on-site subscription form. Article images and fonts are served locally or supplied by your device; reading an article does not load a Substack embed.
Hosting
The site is hosted through OpenAI’s Sites service, with Cloudflare delivery infrastructure. Hosting providers process connection information, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. Their infrastructure may maintain service and security logs or use operational cookies under their own practices. See OpenAI’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Email and external links
If you email thomas@tjlvn.com, Thomas and the email provider receive your address, message, and any attachments to handle your request. Only send information you want to share. You can use the same address to ask about or request deletion of support correspondence.
Following a link to an app store, Substack, or another website takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices.
